  7. You bought the A4000 and you have also an A2091 built-in and you 
  8. noticed that this controller is very slow on your A4000 (approx.50kb/sec) 
  9. ? Well, this is the program for you... In fact it patches dos.library functions 
  10. Read and Write, so that when the A4000 reads from hard disk to 32-bit 
  11. ram, data will be copied to a 128k buffer first, then in  their final place (in 
  12. 32-bit ram); during Write the process will be executed backwards.
  13. It's important to observe that the program needs Kickstart 2.04 or later, 
  14. because it uses some functions that not work on OS 1.3 (dos-offsets 
  15. structure, 24-bit Dma memory allocation and cache's control); you must 
  16. have also at least 128k bytes of 24-bit Dma ram free, better: the prog uses 
  17. A2091 ram, if you have some, if not it uses chip ram. Also this new re-
  18. lease (A2091Turbo V1.2) has an advanced cache's control: in fact when it's
  19. possible it keeps instruction and data (or 040 copyback) caches on!! 
  20. It's guaranteed to function on A3000/A4000 machines in conjunction with 
  21. A2091 controller, but probably it works as well on an accelerated A500 
  22. with A590 controller and on any Amiga with an hard drive and an 
  23. accelerator that has 32-bit ram out of 24-bit space ($000000-$ffffff) 
  24. and that not supports Dma directly on the board.

  26. To install A2091Turbo you must digit:
  27.     A2091Turbo <devices list>   (ex.: A2091Turbo dh0: dh1: dh2:)

  29. Important: devices names must be partitions names not volumes names,
  30. better, the names in your mountlist not the names that appear on your
  31. Workbench window. Names can be uppercases or lowcases: it's the same.
  32. There's no problem if a device in the list not exists: it will be not
  33. patched; and, of course, if you patch for two times the same device,
  34. the program will recognize this and it does nothing.
